Mollie Makes......

I have been buying Mollie Makes since it started and although it is a bit pricey at £4.99 it is a lovely source of inspiration and gorgeousness.This month I particularly love these crocheted wristlets made out of fine cotton.The pattern actually looks reasonably easy to follow. However I do think my children will think I've gone a bit 'mad Miss Havisham' if I start wearing these to school.....

Crochet workshop...Happy hookers.....

We had a lovely afternoon on Sunday when Jules and I  held our first crochet workshop.Yes you can use a book or watch a video on U-tube but how much nicer to sit around a table with lots of lovely people and share ideas and learn new skills with help and support and have a lovely afternoon tea.

Here you can see,Sally,Helen,Rose,Hilary,Sue and Lindsey learning to crochet.They went away very proficient and happy and thoroughly enjoyed their achievements.

Concentration......can't talk....three trebles, then a chain.....two on a corner....God, I hope I'm doing this right....

Coming up to a tricky bit ....got to get around this corner....i'm gritting my teeth but I'm smiling inside....Two granny squares- only twenty eight to go and then I will have a scarf.Three hundred and I'll have a bedspread....

Crochet

Although my IT problems aren't totally resolved yet,I just thought I'd show you that my hands  haven't been completely idle.|I really enjoyed making this tea cosy which I think is rather gorgeous even if I say so myself and I crocheted another cushion for the shop which I sold yesterday.

My sister Jules has also crocheted these rather lovely cushions for the shop.

Can't decide which one I like best......

We are holding a beginners crochet workshop at the shop (36,Market Place,Pickering) 2-5pm on Sunday 27th March if anybody is living in the vicinity and would like to join us.We have a few places left.

 All materials are provided and a lovely afternoon tea (£20) for the afternoon.

Anyway the sun is shining ,spring has finally sprung and it promises to be a brilliant weekend have a great  one girls and lets count our blessings at a time when the world seems to be full of terrible happenings....
