Keep calm and carry on

I really think this is my new mantra. It is very appropriate in this present economic minefield. I bought this postcard in York and then read about it in the Sunday Times. It was never actually used during the war like many posters that you find. It was an act of serendipity and was unearthed by the owner of a bookshop who bought the copyright and has since sold thousands of reproduction posters. I find the notion of calm and continuity very comforting. We have very little control over the ups and downs of the exchange rate or the interest rate or anything else for that matter and for most people its just a case of heads down and lets get on with it.
