I am now getting a bit paranoid. I have lost three followers in the last week or so.I am now thinking that what I write must be of little interest and I can't help but take it personally.I blog mostly for myself and enjoy looking back on my thoughts and things that have happened. The fact that people are remotely interested is a real pleasure to me.I have been blogging for some time now and my followers have grown albeit very slowly and although its not a competition I can't help feeling a bit like the girl nobody wants to play with in the playground, when someone decides to cut loose. I know that it is blogging etiquette to respond when people leave comments and also to leave comments, which I do.Is it me? Am I being hypersensitive or does this happen to everyone? I haven't as yet done a giveaway or a swap but I'm not sure if that's the way I want to go.Let me know what you think.Have a great week.
Thank you to the lovely bloggers who left me some kind words. It means such a lot to know that there is some awesome support out there in Blogland.I am trying not to think about it.I have applied for a job now it's down to the stars and the angel of employment.

Oh, dear, as if you didn't have enough to contend with right now! Don't stress about bloggy folks who fall by the wayside, Anne. Blogging isn't a barometer of how popular you are and folks bale out for various reasons. Everyone has a spring clean of their bloglists from time-to-time and maybe that's what's happened here. Try not to take it too personally and keep on blogging - I love visiting! Hope you have a stress-free week. x
Lovely picture! I really enjoy your blog. Don't be disheartened!
I'm sorry you feel that way. I totally understand though, I've only just started blogging, and only done a few posts..and I wonder if I'm ever going to get anyone reading. Or caring.
I've been reading your blog for a while now, I always just forget to sign in and comment.
So, hello from a new follower :)
I do hope you keep blogging, as I really love reading the things you have to share.

P.S. Good luck with the job application!
OMG! I just had to comment! I know exactly how you feel, I gain 1 and lose 2 sometimes and even though I have lots of followers I can't help but feel at tad upset and think it is because I am rubbish! Same with facebook - clearly I am a bit hypersensitive too!
Do you think it may be that sometimes people delete their accounts???
Fingers and everything else crossed for you. x
I think you gain some and lose some, some will follow for a while and then move on if you don't have the same interests. Don't take it as a personal affront. I sometimes "tidy up" if someone doesn't blog for a long time.
I went through a similar process where I worked ... The feeling of insecurity and worthlessness (?) was worst. Keeping my fingers crossed for you, I hope everything turns out well.
Hello Anne...Your photograph is so pretty at the top of this post...it makes me dream of Spring all the more!
I think maybe there are readers who are now spending there time elsewhere, like Facebook?...I have found leaving comments on Blogger so frustrating in the last week due to the new word verification and the whole process seems to be becoming so slow maybe some are giving up?...I love my blog more than ever though so I am going to stick with it!... (although I have taken the risk of removing the word verification)
Good luck with your job application...I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

awww don't worry. I have lost and gained followers. Try not to take it personally. I stop following people sometimes as blogger only lets you follow a certain amount, but i still look at their blogs by putting them in my bookmarks.
I have noticed on my own blog that someone left then someone joined then last week someone left - I try not to take it personally but I know how you feel! I think a lot of people follow to scan for things that interest them specifically and only actually read our blogs when their favourite subject is being mentioned (i.e. sewing or swaps or giveaways maybe) I would like to know if there is a way to find out who the person who just stopped following was but don't think you can. Always enjoy your blog, you don't need to do a give away, just keep writing about what's important or interesting to you.
Think of the folks who left you as students with short attention spans.
I find blogger has made things difficult with the word identification, a right pain. Mine is disabled, I hope that helps people to leave comments.
I've never been good with etiquette, not sure, so I don't worry about that side of things.
I follow far too many blogs and now and again have to have a little tidy up so to speak, so I would not worry too much. I think as long as you enjoy it, we'll enjoy reading all your posts.
Actually I love your blog you cant be expected to post every day or even every week when you are working. When I check my favourite blogs on my sidebar say once a week I am relieved to see that a lot of people just dont have the time to post every day! That would be blissful but I am greedy and want to read about other peoples lives when mine is quite boring! Keep on blogging - can you postt some times etc about the workshops please Anne
Hi Anne, please dont give up blogging, the same happens to me all the time,I love reading your blog ,I may not always leave comments, but I do love it!Hope Jules is doing ok? Has she given up on the blogging? take care and good luck with the job.take care juliexxx
I say don't worry about it, you haven't lost all your followers, and you've got a lovely blog.
I'm new to the blogging world and don't even know how to get followers in the first place!? Currently I have 2!
Chin up.

I back all the above up... have a fondness for Pickering and your beautiful shop which is what brought me to your blog, been reading it for a while now and enjoy it. I am so sensitive about all this blogging stuff and often thing I should not be in this world as I can get upset when this happens to me, however the good stuff out weighs the bad... Chin up and good luck...
