Where did December go? I have to confess that I am not really in a festive frame of mind.I have to start so early with the shop and school etc.I managed to miss the carol service,School Christmas lunch and the school party due to a nasty bug.I have also been in a Strictly Come dancing bubble which I have loved I have become a cougar and love to watch Harry Judd dance with a passion.I haven't bothered with a tree apart from a very sad artificial one with coloured lights the total antithesis of what I would normally do.I feel like John's mum, Kitty. She used to keep a ready decorated one in the wardrobe and bring it out every year and plonk it on the coffee table in the window. She'd fill a bowl with satsumas, dust off the Baileys and the Cherry brandy which also lived in the wardrobe and declare it to be Christmas. She was, however, an amazing cook and her roast dinners were fabulous but I guess at sixty eight she had had enough so she was happy with her instant Christmas and a spot of horse racing on Boxing Day and her picture of the Pope. So I am not really in the mood but I am spending the day with all the family and will raise a glass to Kitty, sadly missed but never forgotten and count my blessings...
Have a wonderful day with your people and enjoy every moment as if it's your last.
Happy Christmas one and all. Will be back in the New Year...
